Pastor refuses to bury woman because she didn’t pay her tithes

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 1 Timothy 6:10-11

This man’s love of money has led him to do this evil. This man’s love of money has led him far away from dealing with the faith of Christ and the true love and compassion that a pastor is supposed to have for his congregation.

Titus 1:7-9 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre [money, riches];8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. His behavior is definitely not helping to convince gainsayers (people that speak against the word of God), as this story has made its rounds on the internet and some people have commented on this being one of the reasons why they stay away from the bible.

For any church claiming to be a part of the make-up of the body of Christ, certain characteristics should be seen.

1 Corinthians 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Within these passages of scriptures, nothing is mentioned about a person giving tithe in order to remain an active member for that care and concern to be extended to them.

For anyone that’s truly following Christ, they will see that this man is not a true pastor of the Lord, as even the doctrine of tithing is incorrect, based on these money hungry pastors sermons.

What’s more disturbing with this story is the fact that people will still continue to follow this pastor and attend his church.

When we find out that a pastor’s main focus is their greed for money, as was exemplified by the offence of this pastor, we should not continue to be a part of their congregation.

Romans 16:17-18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
