The True Sabbath Day

The Heavenly Father created the Sabbath as a day of rest and a blessing to mankind. It is a holy day that is to be honored as a commandment. The majority of the christian world falsely believes that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday by Christ. THAT IS A LIE. Christ kept the Sabbath and taught his disciples to do the same. The scriptures prove that the Sabbath is the 7th day but false church doctrine changed it to a new day. Read the following scriptures concerning the Sabbath.

Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.  And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
When you read the new testament, you will find out that Christ kept the Sabbath Day as well. There was no talk of the Sunday because everyone knew that the Sabbath was on the seventh day!
Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Why was Christ in the synagogue on the Sabbath? It was because he kept the commandments and did not change but rather reformed the law. As followers of Christ, we should keep the commandments with the understanding that Christ brought.
Galaitians 4:4-5 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
I Peter 2:21-22 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
If Christ had changed the Sabbath, he would have spoken about it and taught the disciples so we would be prepared to keep the commandment properly in these last days. He did no such thing so we must understand that the Sabbath remains unchanged even as Christ himself has not changed. We must repent, keep the commandments in Christ and remember to keep the Sabbath Day holy!
