A few different news outlets recently ran an article about R&B singer Ciara and football player Russell Wilson’s decision to abstain from sex until they are man and wife.  Wilson is quoted as saying “I asked her what would you do if we took all that other stuff off the table and did it Jesus’ way, no sex,”

And of course they got criticized for their decision and Ciara stated that she’s not bothered by it and that there are so many people like them that are doing the same thing. Ciara was quoted in a New York Post article saying, “I feel very confident in the love that we have for each other, and only God knows where it’s going to go…God knows everything that’s to come in the future, and I think it’s best to let him keep taking control of things.”

People have to realize that sex is reserved for a man and woman that are married and anything else is considered fornication.

1 Corinthians 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Bed undefiled means sexual activities that takes place between a man and a woman is ok only when they’re married and if you are partaking in any sexual activity and you are not married, you will be judged for it unless you repent.

So many people get it twisted by saying things such as “you have to try it before you buy it” or they sleep around with different people until they find the “right” one. These are all wicked and evil things to do in the eyes of God.

Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we can live holy in the eyes of God and not defile our bodies by committing fornication.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

So many people look at it as a strange thing when people decide to abstain from sex until they’re married,when this is the will of God that Jesus Christ came and exemplified.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-4 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel [body] in sanctification and honour;
