We’ll start first by saying that what these people are doing is a hateful act in the eyes of God and he considers it an abomination. We’ll dispel a couple of myths within this video and the first one that we will start with is when she stated that, “we don’t use it for wrong.”

We’ll start with this first because most people know that the bible speaks out against these things as being evil but what has happened is, deceit comes in where those very same demonic spirits tricks people and tell them that what they’re doing is not wrong. This was the same thing that happened in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. God told them not to deal with certain things and the serpent told them to go ahead and do it and they would be ok and not die. We all know who turned out to be the liar!

This is the thing that people have to know; when God tells us not to do certain things, he means just that. Don’t do it. And if we go against his will and do it, it’s considered evil.

In the case of voodoo and dealing with demonic spirits, he told us not to do it.

Leviticus 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits [familiar spirits are demons like what was talked about in the video], neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

 Deuteronomy 18:10-12 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

The scriptures clearly tell us not to be dealing with what’s known today as voodoo, obeah, psychics, witchcraft and the like. All these things involve people dealing with demonic entities like what we saw in the video. So when people do these things they’re not considered as good people but as evil people.

It is true what she said about “there’s good and bad side to everything in life.” God through his son Christ told this to us back in the book of Deuteronomy and he told us to choose the good.

Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

When we choose to keep his commandments, such as not dealing with voodoo, obeah, witchcraft and the like, that’s when we’re doing good. When we choose to make excuses and deal with demonic entities and not repent from it, that’s when we’re choosing death (because the wages of sin is death) and evil because we’re now going against his word.

One of the other myths in this video is when it was stated at the beginning that voodoo started in Haiti. This is incorrect. The word voodoo might have gotten its etymology from there but the practice of dealing with demonic entities is as old as the earth itself.

When we were being told not to do these things in the Old Testament the Lord tell us that the people that inhabited the land were into these things.

Deuteronomy 18:9,14 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

The people that are scattered all over the world because of slavery are the biblical Israelites that the bible talks about and we were told that if we did these abominations we would be punished for it. One of the punishments would be captivity by other races of people. Read Deuteronomy 28:45-68, Deuteronomy 4:25-30

Looking at this video we still continue to do the very same things that got God angry at us where we were sold as slaves and we’re still continuing to do these abominable things in his sight. This video was shot in Brooklyn NY but it’s not just there where our people are heavily into these things. Different names are attributed to it such as, Voodo, Santeria, Maria Lionza, Obeah, Witchcraft, Wiccan and other names.

We should repent from these things and not follow them, as people that don’t repent will not make it into the kingdom of heaven.

Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Definition of the word Voodoo-a black religious cult practiced in the Caribbean and the southern US, combining elements of Roman Catholic ritual with traditional African magical and religious rites, and characterized by sorcery and spirit possession.

 Revelation 22:14,15 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Only through Jesus Christ we can be cleansed and should call on for help. At the end of their session she stated that “I think we’re all cleansed.” You don’t get cleansed through demonic rituals, only by applying the words of Christ you can be cleansed.

John 15:3 (spoken by Christ) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Christ is also the one that we should be calling on for help as a lot of people turn to these things to get help in their lives.

God knows how we are as a people and that we would turn to these abominations for help so in the same chapter of Deuteronomy where he told us not to be into these abominations, he told us that he would send his son Jesus Christ into the earth and he’s the one we should turn to for help.

Deuteronomy 18:15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; (A prophecy about Christ)

John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

And what was Christ instruction for us when we need help with things?

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Seek to please God by keeping his word and we’ll be taken care of in all things.
