Christian Swingers Use SEX To Spread the Gospel.

This story first surfaced a few years ago, but has gained attention online over the last few months. It is concerning the culture of Christian swinging. Dean Parave decided that he wanted to come to Christ after destroying his life with drugs and alcohol. Along the way, he and his wife Christy got involved with the swinging culture and are now using their platform to “preach” the Gospel to other swingers. In short, he is saying that he is a Christian, yet he and his wife are both engaging in extramarital relations.

According to the Bible, can you be a Christian and be a swinger?

Swinging is Adultery

Christy Parave says that the Bible doesn’t speak on swinging. While the actual word “swinging” or “swinger” isn’t in the Bible, we have to examine the definition of swinging. According to Wikipedia, swinging is defined as non-monogamous behavior in which both singles and partners in a committed relationship engage in sexual activities with others as a recreational or social activity. This lifestyle is also called wife swapping, husband swapping or partner swapping. We must understand that by this definition alone that this lifestyle is adultery.

What is adultery?

Deuteronomy 22:22If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

The Most High considers sharing wives, sleeping with other men’s wives, wives sleeping with other people other than her husband as adultery and evil. It doesn’t matter if you give your consent. Adultery is still adultery!

Romans 13:12-13
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantoness, not in strife and envying.

The Apostle Paul is telling us to “walk honestly, as in the day” meaning live according to the Bible righteously. Paul then says not to walk in chambering and wantoness. Chambering is going from house to house to have sexual encounters with people (ex: One Night Stands, fornication, etc.), In ancient times the bedroom was called a chamber, hence the phrase “chambering”. Wantoness is described as lewd, lascivious sexual behavior; lacking restraint.

I Peter 4:1-3Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

The swinging culture is an unclean, sinful culture, which includes sleeping with multiple partners (adultery), fornication ,homosexuality, wild partying (revelling), and lewdness. If you want to serve the Most High and Christ, you must repent from this lifestyle! Dean Parave rationalized that “if all the swingers are sinners, then the best way to talk to the sinners is to join them.” Christ didn’t join the sinners, he taught them to repent. In John 8 we read an account of a woman caught in the act of adultery. Jesus did not reprove her by joining in her sin, he instead instructed the woman to sin no more.

2 Corinthians 6:17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Christ wants us to separate from lewd sinful behavior and be an example to others on how to live. Don’t follow the crowd to do evil by committing fornication (swinging). Follow the Most High and keep his commandments!

1 Corinthians 6:18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

The swinging lifestyle is adultery and fornication, and they that commit it will be sinning against their own body, meaning you are defiling and dishonoring yourself. Therefore, to those who are currently practicing this lifestyle, you are encouraged to repent and truly come to Christ. This means you mind has to be cleansed by the Word and you have to stop doing the act. We hope that you repent and leave that life alone before the Most High casts judgment upon you.

Beautifully written and absolutely correct, Swinging is Adultery and Fornication, like the Brother brilliantly wrote it’s the LUST of the Flesh, Colososians:3:5, talks about in inordinate affection and evil concupisence; which is an unnatural strong lustful desire to have sex and this is an example of that.
