Kobe Bryant’s Death

In the past few weeks since the death of Kobe Bryant a lot of people have been shocked at him and his daughter’s passing at such a young age. His death have fueled all sorts of debates, from some bringing up the rape allegations that he had a few years back, to some religious groups saying he was a wicked person and that’s why he got taken out so early and of course the ever popular conspiracy theories that has inundated our society in recent years.

Whenever a famous person like Kobe passes away at such a young age it affects us in a way where we see that our lives are very fragile and we don’t know when our time will come.

What has happened with a lot of people though is that they tend to want to look at the negative things and or argue about different conspiracy theories on why it happened.

What we should do instead is look at our own lives to see how we are living, if it’s right in the eyes of God, as we can go at any time and Jesus Christ will judge us all on how we lived our lives.

Job 14:10-12 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:

12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

With that being said we should all live our lives like how Jesus Christ came, taught and showed us. It’s interesting how a lot of the people who are criticizing Kobe or brought up the rape allegations, they themselves are living a sinful lifestyle. But it’s always easier to look at the next man and criticize them rather than looking at our own selves.

In the eyes of God and his son we’re all held responsible for our own actions. That’s why he tells us to repent from our sinful lifestyles.

Ezekiel 18:30-32 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

We are ALL sinners in the eyes of God and we should always be working on making ourselves right and not judge the next man or woman or speculate on why God decided to take someone at a young age.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Romans 11:33-34 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Whenever we see and hear these things it should remind all of us how short our lives are and not think that because of the tragic circumstances surrounding their death that that person is more wicked than everyone else.

Luke 13:1-5 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
