Relationships according to the Most High God

When we take a look at some of the things that happen in the world today such as the recent supreme court ruling on gay marriage, the decline of traditional marriages (heterosexual), people having sex with their “friend,” eleven year old children (sometimes younger) having a boyfriend/girlfriend or people moving from one partner to the other until they find the “right” one.

It begs to ask the question, what are the guidelines for intimate relationships according to the Most High God?

To live right in the eyes of God and receive eternal life, we have to apply the words of God to every aspect of our lives, including dealing in relationships. Almost everyone has a boyfriend/girlfriend and is having sex and this lifestyle is promoted a lot in the movies, television, music, etc. and because we live in such a filthy and wicked world, we’ve been brainwashed to think that what’s evil is good and what’s good is evil and evil becomes the norm. So when we find out the wicked acts that we’re committing, we have to repent from them.

Ezekiel 18:21  But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

The Most High God established marriage to be between a man and a woman from the very beginning of creation.

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Some people make the excuse of saying that we can dismiss the above referenced scriptures because the earth was just populating at that time and those things had to be written and that Jesus Christ never said anything about gays when he was on the earth.

Christ was asked about marriage and this is what he said.

Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Christ quoted what was written in the Old Testament and told us that a marriage is between a man and a woman and did not give the ok for two people of the same gender to marry. So the excuse that the world was just populating at that time doesn’t add up because the earth was very much populated during Christ time when he made this statement.

When we go back to the beginning and look at what God had established as an intimate relationship between a man and a woman and also looking further to the authority that was given to Christ-how he came and reiterated the same thing said from the beginning. We see that when one becomes of age and established enough to take care of a family, that’s when we marry. Nowhere in there is mentioned about having boyfriends/girlfriends until you find the right person.

Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Nowadays parents are giving the ok for their children to have a boyfriend/girlfriend and not thinking of the many consequences that could come out of it. For example, getting pregnant or getting a sexually transmitted disease. Some parents also say that they teach their children to wait until they get married before they have sex, but they know that when they’re not around they’re going to do it anyway so they tell them to use protection.

We should teach our children the exact words of the Lord and not diminish from it, even if we think that they’re not going to do it.

Deuteronomy 4:2, 9 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

“We’re just friends,” but then you’re having sex with your so-called friend or just having sex with whomever you choose (casual sex).

When we do these things we are considered to be a whoremonger and a fornicator in the eyes of God.

Hebrews 13:4  Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. This scripture again is letting us know that a man and woman being married in Christ is a good thing and sex should only happen between two people that are married and any other sex outside of that union is considered a wicked act that we will be judged for if we don’t repent.

1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

Some people give the following excuse. “Men and women have needs and who are you to judge?”

Revelation 22:11-12  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
