Is the Bible now considered hate speech? To answer this question we need only look at public outcry to symbolically crucify and defame anyone who speaks in accordance with biblical doctrine. The latest victim of this war on Biblical Scripture is none other than so-called Duck Commander Phil Robertson. Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the extremely rich and extremely famous “Duck Dynasty” reality TV program has recently been suspended from the hit show due to what was referred to as an anti-gay and homophobic rant in GQ magazine. Robertson defended himself by stating “All I did was quote a Scripture”. The scripture in question that Robertson quoted was 1st Corinthians 6:9-10
Robertson’s paraphrase: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

1 Corinthians 6
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Would things have turned out differently if Robertson also paraphrased verse 11 which proves that many in the Church of Christ had repented of these sins? Not very likely considering the violent backlash we see in the Media against every Biblical value from raising children to the laws on Marriage and Fornication.

Show Producers claim that the straw that broke the camel’s back was when Robertson compared Homosexuality to Bestiality. Many news sites are currently debating if Robertson’s statement was taken out of context. But what is not under debate is the FACT that the Holy Bible categorizes these sins together under the banner of fornication.
The Book of Leviticus Chapter 18 covers in great detail the sexual sins that are forbidden according to God. These include but are not limited to: Adultery, Homosexuality, Incest, Bestiality, and ménage à trios. Interestingly enough homosexuality and Bestiality are mentioned back to back.
Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Homosexuality) 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. (Bestiality)

As of this writing Phil Robertson has been reinstated to the cast of “Duck Dynasty” due in no small part to the outpouring of support he received from Christian supporters. During Robertson’s suspension A&E’s directors claimed that Robertson’s comments were not in line with their core values of “creativity, inclusion, and mutual respect.” One thing that A&E made abundantly clear is their belief that – BIBLICAL VALUES HAVE NO PLACE in their definition of” inclusion and mutual respect”.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
Luke 21:17
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
