What is Sin?

What is sin? from Richard Orr on Vimeo.

As we can see from the video above people have different definitions of what sin is. The best place to look for the definition of sin is the bible and it states in 1 John 3:4 that,

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Sin is when we go against the laws of God.

We are all sinners in the eyes of God even though some people might not want to admit to that fact.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

It’s a common misconception that Jesus Christ came and died for our sins and we can continue to live whatever way we want to as his blood covers us from all sin.

That is wrong!

The Most High sent his son to show us the way on how to live perfect in his sight; repent from our sins once we find out what they are and going on to perfection like Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came into the world like any other man and got tempted with the same things that we get tempted with like, anger, lust, fornication, etc. And he lived his entire life without sinning once.

Hebrews 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Of course this will not be an overnight process for us as there will be struggles along the way, however, we have to start with the foundation-and that is, to know what the definition of sin is and then work towards that mark of perfection.
