New Netflix Drama Chronicles the Rise and Fall of Bishop Carlton Pearson

At one time the Bishop Carlton Pearson possessed wealth and fame undreamed of by most of his peers in the ecumenical community. But after receiving a revelation from God his ministry underwent a drastic change. No longer was Jesus Christ the “End All Be ALL” when it came to salvation; and salvation was no longer exclusive to those who repented in Christ. As outlined in Bishop Pearson’s so-called “Doctrine of Inclusion”, all mankind would receive the gift of eternal life in the kingdom of heaven regardless of sins or belief systems contrary to scripture. As a direct result, in 2004 Bishop Pearson was declared a heretic by the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops. Pearson’s conversion and new doctrine is now the focus of a new Netflix drama entitled “Come Sunday”. In this fairly balanced movie we see Bishop Pearson portrayed as: sometimes totally sure of himself and at other times completely lost, sometimes selfless and other time completely self absorbed, sometimes heroic martyr and other times an unrepentant heretic. But ultimately Bishop Pearson’s fate does not rest with Netflix or even a council of Bishops. His true judgment will come from the very scriptures and God he has betrayed.

Carlton PearsonJeremiah 23:16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord. 17 They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

The prophet Jeremiah warned the faithful that there would be false prophets who, like Bishop Pearson would speak the vision of their own heart and declare it to be the voice of God. The prophet Jeremiah goes on to say that this false doctrine, like Pearson’s “Doctrine of Inclusion” would declare peace and salvation to those who hate God and despise his commandments.

Galatians 1:6
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Pearson claims to have penned his Doctrine of Inclusion after hearing a personal revelation from God. But had he been attentive to scriptures he would have remembered the admonition of the Apostle Paul who instructed us to receive no other Gospel even if it be delivered by an Angel from Heaven!

Titus 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Bishop Pearson’s own words and doctrine prove him to be a heretic and the enemy of God. But even more tragic are the many who have found comfort in his lie that they need no repentance and no Christ to see the Kingdom of God. It is our prayer that those who read this article would be encouraged to study the scriptures and the words of Christ who is Our Way, Our Truth and Our Life, without whom there is no salvation.

Being Mad at the World

The world just seems to be getting crazier by the day and people are taking out their frustrations in the form of mass shootings or by planting bombs. The recent youtube shooting exhibits this behavior, as well as the Austin bombings. When you read the two people that carried out the attacks manifestos, they were ranting and raging at the world and the atrocities that they see or has happened to them.

The world that we’re living in is very corrupt and people are doing evil to one another by being morally corrupt, mainly by how they can get over on the next person and make money.

All the evil that takes place in the world are driven by peoples love for money.

1 Timothy 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The scriptures also tells us that the whole entire world is wicked, so when people do mischievous things to one another it should not come as a surprise to us.

1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

No doubt we’ll be hurt when we ourselves are taken advantage of but we cannot be mad at the world and seek to get revenge by killing people.

Romans 12:19  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.

There’s always a wrong and a right way to go about handling things and the right way of handling things is to always follow what the word of God says because that’s always right.

Psalm 33:4  For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

If you’ve been hurt by someone (like we all have been at times) and you’re having murderous intentions or thoughts, look at Jesus Christ’s examples of when he was here living on the earth to help suppress your thoughts.

The man did absolutely nothing wrong and was ultimately put to death because of people’s envy (Matthew 27:18). Christ did not retaliate or sought his own vengeance but committed himself to God who will take care of those who are doing wrong, in his own time.

This is the example that was left for us in the scriptures that we should follow.

1 Peter 2:21-23  For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

If God exist why are there so much evil in the world?

This is the question that more and more people are asking everyday. With all the violence that we see happening, different shootings that’s been taking place, young innocent kids dying, people getting raped or sexually abused mercilessly and other heinous things that takes place.

God does exist and he’s seeing all the evil going on but he gave mankind a choice to do good or evil.

Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

In this world there is good and evil and we make a choice to do either one of them. No one forces us to do either one, not even God himself.

He tells us what we should choose and the consequence for what we choose.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

God is very patient with all of us, including the ones that are committing the most heinous crimes, as he’s giving us all a chance to get it right before he sends his son back to take vengeance on those that are and have committed evil without repenting.

Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

So the point to all of this is for us to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ as God will be taking vengeance on all the evil doers in his own time.

X Gender Birth Certificates

In an attempt to further blur the gender lines, Washington State is proposing adding an option “X” on birth certificates. If the bill passes, parents will be allowed to choose between boy, girl and “X” on a newborn’s birth document. They will be able to skip “labeling” their children when they are born.

This is yet another example of how everything in this world is contrary to the scriptures. I John 5:19 says, “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” The transgender community and their allies are pushing an agenda of a “non-binary” mindset; meaning gender is just not male and female. They propose that what God has established from the beginning, and science has proven is false. According to some, gone are the days of the XX genotype being female and XY being male. The new opinion is that they are as many as 99 genders along a continuum. Do the Most High and the scriptures agree with that? Let’s see.

Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

The Most High created male and female people. Even in the animal kingdom, the Heavenly Father identified male and female within every species. Despite what the world seeks to do by performing operations to give the appearance of a different gender or claiming that the Most High made a mistake, there are only two genders to which you can be born – male or female. It was so from the beginning and it is true now. Christ teaches the same.

Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

Ecclesiastes 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

The invention of any genders above the 2 that the Most High showed us in the Bible is evil and it is a sin that we must repent from. We pray that those who are struggling with this get the scriptural help they need so they can repent and be healed according to the Bible.

Defiled Bread

Researchers of the Federal University of Rio Grande believe that they have created the food of the future. Looking for a cheap, high protein alternative to cattle, scientists have turned to a most unlikely source, ROACHES! Yes ROACHES! These vermin are bred in captivity and ground into fine powder which is then mixed with flour to create a high protein bread alternative. Although the scientific community have cited the financial and environmental benefits, it is doubtful that they have considered the spiritual implications.

Leviticus 11:46-4746 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

In today’s world there are many who willfully defy the biblical dietary laws and many more who are truly ignorant of them. However, in the book of Leviticus chapter 11 and other biblical text, it is clear that consuming Roaches or certain (Creeping Things) is expressly forbidden by the Heavenly Father.

Leviticus 11:41-43 41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.43 Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

Watching this growing trend of abominations being incorporated into our everyday diet is no surprise to those who know and understand Biblical prophecy. As it was written in the book of Ezekiel chapter 4.

Ezekiel 4:13And the Lord said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.

Teaching Our Children About Sexual Abuse

A recent news radio story has stirred this article. The story focused on disabled children that are sexually abused and how it is a large problem that goes unnoticed because as one of the victims put it, “We are taught to trust grown-ups more than anyone else would be. Because when you have a disability, people are always telling you, ‘Do as that person says,’ ‘Do as this person says.’ ”

There have been many stories in the news recently about sexual abuse and by now just about everyone should’ve heard of the “Me too” movement where it seems like an allegation is coming out just about everyday about a famous individual.

Most people should also be aware of the trial of Larry Nassar and all of his victims testifying in court.

According to data from the Justice Department on sex crimes, people with disabilities are victims of sexual abuse seven times more than those without disabilities.

One of the disturbing things from the news story is that some of the perpetrators told their victims not to say anything to anyone because they are now their boyfriends and what they’re doing is ok.

So where do you start when you want to teach your children about sexual abuse? Because the deceptiveness is endless and almost all sexual abuse have a common denominator-the perpetrator is always someone the victim knows and in a lot of cases trust or is taught to trust.

To some people this might seem far-fetched or not applicable, however, it is the right thing to do because God’s word is a guide to all of our lives.

We start by teaching our children about what marriage and fornication is and intimate things that should only happen between a man and a woman when they’re married.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

This scripture lets us know that it’s an honorable thing to be married in the eyes of God and whatever is done in the bedroom is clean (undefiled) in his sight and that any thing outside of that, is not considered clean and will be judged by him.

So to further break it down; any sort of intimate thing-kissing, touching of private parts, sex-whether oral, vaginal, anal should not be done outside of a marriage.

Some people may cringe at the fact that they have to be so graphical, but in today’s world you have to be. There are a large segment of kids who are being taught and believe that oral or anal sex is not sex because they’re not being penetrated the “traditional” way. So you have, mostly young girls who’re doing just that or being coerced to do that and thinking it is ok because they’re not having vaginal sex.

So when you teach your children about sexual abuse you should let them know that if anyone is doing that to them, it is not right and they should report it. It doesn’t matter if they know the person or was told to do whatever they say.

You may ask, what about the case then of Larry Nassar, “he was a doctor who was treating these kids and certain procedures has to be done by a doctor, how do you teach your kid about that?”

The same scripture applies. These girls that brought it to the forefront had enough sense to know that something wasn’t right, because they went to him to be treated for sports injuries and were assaulted, only to be told that it was “a form of treatment.”

Also, when we teach our children what the scriptures says, it makes them wise in everything and they’ll be able to tell right from wrong.

2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Another important aspect of teaching our children about sexual abuse is that, you wanna have a relationship with them where they can come and talk to you about anything and you’re not being dismissive, thinking it’s a figment of their imagination or flying off at the handle of what you’re hearing.

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

A Generation of Fornicators

God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Psalms 53:2-3

When you look at the world today everyone is so far removed from living how the Lord intended for us to live from the beginning. Men and women are committing fornication on an unprecedented level and it’s only getting worse, as children are having children and the older ones like a grandparent who should be setting the right examples are themselves fornicating, hence the title-A Generation of Fornicators.

In the beginning when the Lord created human beings, the rule that he gave to us to follow is for a man and a woman to be married and then create children from that marriage. He did not intend for us to be doing the things that we see happening today, people having sex with multiple partners or moving from one partner to the next until they ”find the right one” or, shunning marriage altogether and just having casual flings.

This is what Jesus Christ himself taught and upheld in the New Testament.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; [nothing about sleeping around is mentioned]

And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. Mark 10:6-8

This is the opposite of what you see most people doing today. Most people shy away from marriage and instead opt to sleep around (fornicate) until they die.

You have people today who are grandmothers that are still having one-night stands and the like. Setting the wrong examples for the future generation. This is especially prevalent amongst the Israelites (the ones that have been scattered all over the world whether we call ourselves black, Latino, Afro this or Afro that.)

We should be known as a people that are chaste but instead we are known to be some of the most unashamed fornicators on the planet.

Titus 2:3-5 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Deuteronomy 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

The following law was given for us to follow before we got into the promise land so that it would be all good with us.

Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness. Leviticus 19:29

We did not do this and thus we were punished-by being kicked out of the land and our ancestors ended up into slavery all over the world.

The sad thing about this though is that some of us still have this same mentality today.

We teach our daughters to wear tight revealing clothing, how to pick up men and to also sleep around until the right one comes along. These things cause our daughters to be whores in the sight of the Lord.

Most peoples understanding of the word prostitute or whore is a woman on the street corner that’s selling sex.

But we’ll put it this way so that people can understand what it is-sometimes you’ll see an interview with a prostitute and they will say that you have a lot of girls out there just giving up their vagina for free and that instead of them doing that they’re requiring men to pay and that there is no difference between them and the ones giving it away for free-THAT IS A TRUE STATEMENT.

The Lord looks at our women as prostitutes and whores if they’re having sex with someone that they’re not married to.

The Lord wants us all to repent from our sins and live clean in his sight and that’s the reason he sent Jesus Christ on the earth to teach us how to do that.

For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification [what makes us holy], that ye should abstain from fornication:

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel [vessel is our bodies] in sanctification and honour; 1 Thessalonians 4:2-4

If you are a fornicator or teach your kids to be any other way than how the bible instructs us, you should repent.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted [change your whole lifestyle], that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19

 You can make all the excuses in the world you want, saying that no one can do that or now are modern times, things have changed. The Lord is not concerned with that (Malachi 3:6) as there are those few and we emphasize the word few, who will be obedient to the Lord’s commandments (2 Timothy 3:19 and Matthew 22:14). For those few, we encourage you to continue to set the right examples.

Hurricane “Irma” traversed several Caribbean islands, Florida and Georgia and ravished every place it touched. Life has been lost, property destroyed and people are struggling to make it without power. The scriptures show that when incidents like this occur, we should take heed, reflect on our lives and repent. Some people are taking note and examining themselves while others are using the unrest and chaos as an opportunity for wickedness.

Early this morning, I went out to pick up a prescription at the local Walgreens in Southwest Atlanta. The area was destitute of electricity and the majority of businesses were closed as a result of the power outages. When I arrived at the Walgreens, much to my dismay, I saw the damage that was caused during the storm. It was not the result of high winds. A tree did not fall on the store. It was looters who smashed through the front door and made off with the items they desired. This is happening throughout the U.S. and the world anytime a catastrophe hits. Pharmacies, sneaker, electronic and jewelry stores are the usual first victims.

Amos 3:6-7  Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?  (7)  Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Jeremiah 23:19-20  Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.  (20)  The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

Instead of considering why hurricanes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters are destroying the Earth. Wicked men that refuse to repent use these events to further prosper in their wickedness. Looting, burglaries and scams increase during these times and we must be cautious and alert. The Most High sees their sins and they will not continue to take advantage of people and prosper.

Psalms 10:2-4  The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.  (3)  For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.  (4)  The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

Looting, burglaries and scams are all sins that violate the 8th commandment. Exodus 20:15  Thou shalt not steal. If you are looting, you are a thief and you must repent. During these times of catastrophe and  chaos, we should be focusing on what we need to do to draw closer to the Lord not creating a wider gulf between us by adding sin unto sin!

1 Corinthians 6:9-10  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  (10)  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 4:28  Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Eating Raw Chicken??? Yep It’s a Real Thing!

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Every year, Salmonella is estimated to cause one million foodborne illnesses in the United States, with 19,000 hospitalizations and 380 deaths. With that being said, it is a common fact that the easiest way to infect yourself with this bacteria is to eat undercooked poultry. But despite this common truth there are still those who would take the risk of eating raw chicken in the form of the Japanese dish Chicken Sashimi.
Many people may be familiar with the Biblical dietary laws written in the books of Leviticus chapter 11 and 12th Chapter of Deuteronomy which prohibit the eating of various animals and sea creatures. But fewer people may be aware of the fact that the scriptures also forbade us to eat any of our food raw or uncooked. This was done to purge the blood out of a creature which was unlawful for us to partake of.

Leviticus 17:13-14 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

Despite this commandment, one of the most popular foods in the world is Sushi which in many forms consists of raw or uncooked fish or Sashimi which consists of any fresh raw meat.



Even in the New Testament the practice of eating anything with the blood (uncooked or raw) was prohibited, clearly upholding the commandment given in the Old Testament Law.

Although the idea of Chicken Sashimi was not well received in the continental United States, it is still worth mentioning due to the fact that so many Americans are in the practice of eating undercooked red meat and Sushi. These are things we must abstain from, not just for health sake but for commandments of God.

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Is Your Wife Nagging You To Death????

The Holy Bible tells us that wives were given to man as a help from God. The strength, honor and love that a wife brought to her husband was meant to provide him with rest, comfort, vitality and ultimately prolong his life in peace. But according to a study performed by the University of Copenhagen, many of today’s women are literally nagging their husbands to death. The study first conducted in 2014 found that husbands who have wives that complain and nag incessantly will live significantly shorter lives and are more likely to develop serious health issues such as heart disease and cancer.
These findings are disturbing not only for health reasons but also because it totally contradicts the values of a virtuous wife spoken of in the Biblical book of Proverbs chapter 31.

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

The scriptures tell us that a virtuous woman is a treasure that will bring good into the life of her husband. But too often we see and hear of how many of today’s marriages end in bitter divorce based on hatred, jealousy and strife often from external sources.



Proverbs 26:20Where no wood is, [there] the fire goeth out: so where [there is] no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
James 3:14 -16 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but [is] earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work.



nagging 2The scriptures warn us that this spirit of envy and strife is evil and Satanic with no place in a marriage among followers of Christ.

Proverbs 10:12Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins

In the book of Ephesians Chapter 5:25-33, the Heavenly Father decrees that the love between husband and wife should be as deep and profound as the love between Jesus Christ and his Church. This is why the scriptures tell us that “Hatred strirreth up strifes”: but it is the love of Christ that helps us to conquer all sins.

For the women in Christ who are reading this article, please understand that this is not an attack on your character but rather an exhortation and admonishment.

Proverbs 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

A wife has every right to criticize, question and even rebuke a husband when necessary, but remember, a virtuous woman filled with the Holy Spirit can do this with dignity, wisdom, grace and a loving tongue! It is our prayer that this article will promote some much needed dialogue for couples in Christ who are struggling to find their way.
