The Holy Bible tells us the blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. For one Atlantic City N.J. man those blessings started pouring in after receiving national attention when a recording of a street fight went viral on the internet. When you consider the hundreds to thousands of skirmishes recorded and posted online, there doesn’t seem to be anything special about two black teenage youth fighting each other in the middle of the street. But when Ibn Ali Miller steps in to deescalates the conflict, the nation took notice. Miller served as a mediator to the two youth and exposes the wickedness and cowardice of their so-called friends who stood on the sidelines inciting them on.
Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
By silencing the scorners in the crowd, Miller was able to end the contention and strife which is a lesson also recorded in the Holy Bible.
Proverbs 22:10 Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.
The video has currently been viewed over 11 million times, even garnering attention from celebrities like Lebron James who chimed in with admiration and respect for the lessons Mister Miller shared with the teens.

Miller was recently honored by the Atlantic City Council where he gave praise first to God and then to his Mother for her impact in making him the man he is. The two teens were also in attendance to thank Miller for the lessons that he shared with each of them and the impact that this chance encounter had on their lives.
Romans 12:18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Miller was moved to tears at the ceremony stating: “I’m crying because, this whole situation, it deeply saddens me,”. “It deeply saddens me, the fact that it’s unbelievable. This should be very believable, this should be a norm and this should be regular.”
For Catholics and some other denominations of Christianity the Holy Season of Lent has begun. But the truth that fewer of the so-called faithful are willing to admit is that this “Holy Season” is rooted in wickedness, idolatry and hypocrisy. Lent is presented as a 40 day period of prayer, fasting and penance in preparation for Easter. In truth these idolatrous celebrations begin a few months before the actual day of Easter. The festivals known as Mardi Gras and Carnival are the true beginning. How are these celebrations related to Easter? Both Mardi Gras and the Carnivals that are kept in the Caribbean Islands, Brazil, and other parts of the world occur before the period of time known as Lent or the holy season. These celebrations give honour to Bacchus, who is the Greek god of wild parties (revelling), orgies (fornication), and drunkenness. For those that practice this tradition it is an opportunity to break the Heavenly Father’s commandments and do all manner of wickedness before the beginning of their “holy season.” In the past, the Israelites that were in captivity during the time of the Greeks were forced to break the commandments and keep celebrations honouring this idol. In this time many people who profess to be Christians, keep these idolatrous customs willingly and forsake the commandments of the Heavenly Father and Christ.
I Corinthians 6:9-10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Ash Wednesday and Lent
The celebration of Carnival varies in length throughout the word but it comes to and end on what is called Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday. Shrove comes from the old English word “shrive” which means to absolve people of their sin. This further proves that many so called Christians believe that they are forgiven for all the abominations they commit during the season of Carnival. Mardi Gras is the more popular name for Fat Tuesday. After Fat Tuesday comes Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of Lent the so called “holy season.” Now the switch is made from honouring Bacchus to honouring the goddess of fertility. Isis, Ishtar, Ashtaroth, Diana, and the Queen of Heaven are just a few of the names that people have named her over the years, but it is still the same idol. On Ash Wednesday she is honoured by baking hot cross buns. Do the scriptures make mention of this? Yes!
Jeremiah 7:18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
In the past, the children of Israel knew they were committing idolatry but continued to serve these idols believing that they would receive carnal blessings (money, houses, food, etc.) in return. In truth they only provoked the anger of the Heavenly Father bringing more wrath upon themselves.
Jeremiah 44:16-17 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee. (17) But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
The so called “holy season” of Lent comes to an end on Easter Sunday. Easter is an idolatrous festival, falsely observed by most denominations of Christianity as the celebration of the resurrection of Christ.

Dr. Ben Carson’s life reads like a fairy tale born of the Civil Rights movement. As an accomplished surgeon, politician, presidential candidate and current Secretary of Housing and Development, Dr. Carson is a model of Black pride, perseverance and triumph. The unfortunate

The now infamous speech where Dr. Carson refers to black slaves as immigrants has gone viral for good reason; And the backlash that Carson has received from the African American community at large is well deserved. In the days following Carson’s speech, many came forward offering a far more historically accurate account of American slavery to counter Carson’s overly benevolent slave narrative. As servants of Christ who are dedicated to addressing all issues through the lens of the scriptures, we will compare Dr. Carson’s comments to the biblical prophecies of slavery recorded in the Holy Bible.
BEN CARSON: That’s what America is about. A land of dreams and opportunity.
Deuteronomy 28:33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 49 The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
According to the Bible, the land of our enslavement was NOT a land of dreams and opportunity but instead a land of fiercely cruel enemies who would only oppress and crush those they captured.
BEN CARSON: There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships
Deuteronomy 28:68 And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
The Holy Bible does not speak of immigrants on ships looking for a new life and better opportunities. It instead speaks of free men and women taken and sold as slaves by their enemies.
BEN CARSON: worked even longer, even harder, for less.
Deuteronomy 28:65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
The Holy Bible tells us that during slavery our forefathers had no ease and no rest. The only reward for their hard work was fear and sorrow.
BEN CARSON: But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land.
Deuteronomy 28:32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand. 41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
The Holy Bible tells us that there was no hope of a better life for the children of the enslaved. They were often taken and sold, never to be seen again. This brutal slavery would continue for generations without end. The sad truth is that contrary to Dr. Carson’s rationale of a better life for the great grandchildren of those enslaved, the centuries of slavery would ensure that even the great grandchildren would be born into a life of slavery and misery.
Despite the bleak picture painted in the Holy Bible concerning the enslavement of our people, there is also an enduring message of hope and repentance that was passed on through the ages in the prayer of King Solomon.
1st Kings 8:46 If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near; 47 Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; 48 And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name. 49 Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause, 50 And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

When most people hear the word addiction they automatically think of drugs. However, addiction comes in many other forms such as, sex, food, alcohol and money.
What is one word that the bible uses that can be substituted for the word addiction?
Contrary to popular belief, lust does not only refer to sex, but is rather the desire that one has to fulfill whatever they like. In other words, you get a good feeling from doing that activity. So it is with different addictions, people engage in those behaviors because they get a good feeling from it.
Often, people with certain types of addiction will do other heinous things such as committing murder or stealing to fulfill their addictions.
So where does one start to get help with their addiction(s)?
There are many different intervention programs that are offered in the world but for the most part they don’t provide a permanent remedy for most people.
For a practical approach we should start with the bible and looking at how God told us to live our lives and the examples that his son Jesus Christ left for us.
The sole purpose of our lives is to have respect for God and to do whatever he commanded us.
Ecclesiastes 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
So let’s take as an example the case of the more popular drug addiction, God gave us a commandment that we should not defile (pollute) our temples (body). So if you’re God-fearing you’re going to do what he says.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 3:17
The same goes for people that are addicted to money and do everything in their power to chase after it.
1 Timothy 6:10-11,14 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Some people may argue that giving up your addiction is not as easy as it sounds. We have Jesus Christ as an example who came in the flesh and lived the same life that we’re living now and had every opportunity to fulfill his lusts, but he didn’t. He fought with all his might until the very end of his life to do his father’s commandments and so should we do likewise.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man [talking about Christ], he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin [talking about Christ].
When you examine people that have different addictions, a lot of them will tell you that it’s something that happened in their childhood that caused them to develop that addiction that they have.
We know that horrible things happen to people at times because of the wicked world that we’re living in, however that does not give a person an excuse for their ungodly behavior.
The basis for this article came from a recent airing on the National Geographic channel that featured several different illegal ways people get their money in Las Vegas, from robbing casinos the traditional way, to people cheating the different card games and “trick roll.” Trick roll is when women dress up as prostitutes and rob their victims.
In watching that episode you see the addiction clearly because the people kept doing the same things over and over again even in cases where they got involved in shootouts or they nearly get caught by the authorities. In fact the woman that they featured doing the trick rolling (woman in the picture above) said that she’s “addicted” to it, despite the fact that she had friends that died from doing it. Her justification as to why she does it is also worth mentioning. She stated that she got abused when she was younger by men and later in her childhood got raped several times so she hates men and don’t mind doing what she’s doing.
We should not let whatever evil happened to us in our childhood overcome us; rather, we should overcome it.
Romans 12:21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
We’re also going to be all judged for the things that we do while alive so it’s best to repent from whatever addiction that we have and live Godly.
Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
George Michael, Prince, David Bowie, Carrie Fisher, Muhammad Ali, Gene Wilder and Fidel Castro are just some of the notable figures that have died during 2016 causing people to refer to this year as “The Year of the Reaper.” Social media is ablaze with people desperately pleading that “2016” not take any more of their favorite celebrities. At the same time, many people are losing close family members and friends which is adding to the feelings of despair and hopelessness. What do the scriptures say about death? How should we deal with losing people we love and how do we heal?
Ecclesiastes 1:4One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
Psalms 90:10The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
2 Samuel 2:6The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
The previous scriptures show us that every generation has its time and the Lord is in control of the passing of one generation and the birth of the new one. As our friends and family get older, they too must pass on from this life. Psalms 90:10 explains how the average life span is 70 years and if people live longer, the health of those individuals will decline. Two thousand sixteen does not have the power of death neither the “reaper.” It is the Lord working now as he has always worked throughout time. As people age, the previous generation dies. With so many people inevitably and continually dying, how are we supposed to cope with losing our loved ones?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
Isaiah 57:1-2 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
Ecclesiastes 7:1-3A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth. It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. 3 Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.
Although the scriptures show us that the day of one’s death is better than the day of one’s birth, it still hurts when our loved ones die. With all the evil happening in the world, we should take comfort in those that have passed on are spared from the present day wickedness and are at rest. At the same time, we are not to fall into the ideology of this world that tells you to “be strong for your family.” “Don’t cry.” These are false and dangerous messages that are sent to our loved ones when someone close to them dies. Ecclesiastes 7:1-3 explains how we are healed through sadness. Grieving is part of the process of dying and if you don’t express your grief, it is unhealthy for you and hinders you from healing.
Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ecclesiastes 9:10Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Death entered into this world because we broke the commandments and the key to changing this cycle is repentance in Christ. While we live, we have the opportunity to right the wrongs by learning the scriptures, repenting in Christ and teaching others to do the same through our example. Once we die, the opportunity to repent and improve our lives is lost. We can not help our loved ones, friends and celebrities that have passed on but we can help those that are alive through repentance and our example.
Revelation 21:3-4And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
1 Corinthians 15:21-26For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
Eventually, death will be conquered but until then, we MUST live in righteousness. We pray that these scriptures benefit anyone suffering loss or grief at this time or in the future. Peace.
It has never been a secret that African Americans and other minorities of color are disproportionately targeted by the Criminal Justice System of the United States. It is a well documented fact that the practice of mass incarceration and lengthy prison sentences for blacks can be traced back to the abolition of slavery. Documentaries such as “13th” and “Slavery by Another Name” attempt to expose the origins of the racist and systematic targeting of blacks by an institution that can best be described as modern day slavery.
But even with countless studies, documentaries, special focus groups and statistics, there is still another source of information which MOST accurately addresses this dilemma, THE HOLY BIBLE!
Isaiah 42:22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
The prophet Isaiah tells us that the biblical children of God would be robbed of all things: land, houses, language, religion, even their identity. He also bleakly prophesied that they would be hid in prison houses with none to save or restore them.
Even Jesus Christ himself explained to the apostles that the rulers of this world care nothing for the children of strangers and would exploit them as they saw fit.
Matthew 17:25-27 And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? 26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
We can see in the teachings of Christ that we, as so-called minorities of color in the United States and scattered throughout the world are the strangers in many if not all of the countries that we now inhabit. As children of strangers we are subject to payments, punishments and abuses that the natural children are spared from. This is the reason why Whites in America are often given much lighter and more lenient sentences for identical crimes committed by their Black counterparts.
But there is yet another reason for this gross disparity in the representation of so-called Black and Brown people in the prison system and it will be a truth that only few can grasp.
Amos 3:1-3 Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, 2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
The Heavenly Father gave his Laws, Statutes, and Commandments to the Israelites, our biblical forefathers. With this great gift came an incredible responsibility to be the lights of the word and ambassadors of Christ on planet Earth. When we perverted the Heavenly Father’s ways in favor of fornication, idolatry and all manner of evil, we quickly fell from grace. As the children of the promise and those who are under the covenant of God, the prophet Amos warns “You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.” Despite the fact that we have become less than any other nation on the planet, we are still the biblical children of God. And as such, we will be shown no mercy when we transgress his commandments. It is true that so-called minorities of color face racism, classism and true hated by our oppressors in many countries throughout the world. But the word of God prevails above all.
Romans 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
As children of the Most High God we must commit ourselves to repentance and good works with the hope of receiving mercy in a merciless society.

The website “collegehumor.com” has always been known to push the envelope when it comes to their particularly brash sense of humor and insensitive antics. And when it comes to their satirical attacks it is clear that no topic is off limits and nothing is sacred. In an older sketch that has resurfaced on social media we see a motley crew of actors who are portraying themselves as “God” and a host of angels. The angels have found “God’s” secret diary which is clearly the Holy Bible and begin to critique him for bigotry, hypocrisy and a nonsensical writing style.
Among the various commandments that they mock are laws concerning diet, sexual conduct and the entire life of our Lord Jesus the Christ.
Leviticus 11:9-10 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. 10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
At one point the life of Jesus is described as a novel about a fictional hero who uses his superpowers to save others but cannot use them to save himself. Not surprisingly, this was the same insult hurled at the dying Christ as he sacrificed himself on the cross for the sins of the nation of Israel.
Matthew 27:41-42 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, 42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

The lives of the Holy Men of God were often the subject of mockery, ridicule and scorn throughout the ages and these days and times are no different but the scriptures ring true and in the end everyone must give account for their words and wicked deeds.
Proverbs 1:20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: 21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, 22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. 24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
The election of Donald Trump to be the next U.S. president has caused a lot of different protests all across the country and some even overseas. Many people are upset because they wanted to see Hillary Clinton win and think that she would be a better president than Donald Trump. Some of the arguments are that Donald Trump is racist, hates the LGBT community and immigrants, amongst other things. Some people are also upset about his proposed policies that he said he would implement once he becomes president.
But would Hillary Clinton be any different? Or would she be serving her own self -interest and those that donated the most money to her campaign and not care about the little guy.
Politics was created to divide people and it’s done a brilliant job doing just that.
No matter who gets to be president, unless you can see through that person’s actions that they’re serving the Most High God and Christ, they are all corrupt and filthy and we should not put our faith or hope in them.
The Most High God is the one who dictates who’s going to be our rulers and he told us that he’s going to set up the lowest of the low to be our rulers.
Daniel 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
The definition of basest is having the least morals or being of the lowest class.
Knowing this, why would anyone think that if Hillary Clinton got elected, things would be any better? Because she’s just as corrupt as any other politician!
People have to stop putting their faith and trust in men and trust in the living God and his son Jesus Christ who will protect us if we’re doing his commandments.
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
When we do things like cry
and worry because Hillary Clinton didn’t get elected, we’re trusting in man and making flesh our arm; meaning that we’re relying on a corrupted person to protect us.
Psalm 146:3-4 Put not your trust in princes [today presidents, prime ministers, etc], nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
These people are going to die like everyone else, only the Most High God and his son lives forever.
When you’ve truly repented and are living right in the eyes of God, the last thing that you’re going to worry about is who gets to be the next president because you know that they’re all corrupt and filthy people who does not have our best interest at heart.
Psalm 146:5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:
Instead of protesting, what we should be doing is praying that there is peace wherever we’re living, so that we can truly serve the Lord without any distractions.
1 Timothy 2:1-3I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
As we’ve mentioned several times before on our website and different articles, the people that were brought here through slavery are the Israelites that the bible speaks about and we’ve had a history of slavery throughout many generations. The Lord has told us what we should do in these particular circumstances.
Jeremiah 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
When you read throughout the bible there are several instances where different rulers caused straight havoc to the people and you don’t read about people protesting to put someone else in power, because they understood that these rulers are all corrupt and have their own interest at heart.
Most of our people despise the word of God and would much rather continue protesting, being angry and emotional and look to a man for help.
Isaiah 30:12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
If that’s your choice to be that way, no one can force you to be otherwise.
Revelation 22:11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
But for those who were caught up in their emotions and now realize that the word of the Lord is right, you have to follow Christ example to really see the world and its leaders for what they truly are and at that point you will learn not to worry about who gets elected.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Ghana, West Africa 1837, five massive British ships arrive on the coast in the midst of a dark night prepared to take a precious commodity from the port city of Accra to the Americas. The air that night was humid and the tension was so thick you could feel it. Several men jump off the ships carrying the payment for their “merchandise.” A transaction is made between the Ghanaian tribesmen and the British sailors as they gather together hundreds of men, women and children in chains. One by one hundreds of them were loaded on the ships. Some were crying while others screamed for their dear lives clutching the ground as they were dragged away from the land where they had lived. Others walked silently with faces as still as stone statues that showed they understood exactly why this was happening. They understood it was a curse.
After all of the captives were loaded, the doors of the ships were shut tight like the doors on Noah’s ark. There was no escaping except for death and many of the slaves were “blessed” with an illness that granted them that peace. After a long journey over the ocean, the ships finally arrived in the Americas. When the British captors and their “cargo” finally reached the American colonies, the British sailors thanked the Lord for granting them safe passage and called it Thanking the Lord Day. They declared that this day should be celebrated on the third Thursday of February. Imagine if you would that this was true and the day is still celebrated in the United States today. Understanding its roots, would you celebrate it? Many would say no without giving it a second thought, yet the same people are celebrating the genocide and destruction of the Native Americans today known as Thanksgiving.
As followers of Christ, should we celebrate Thanksgiving. If you believe the traditional story that has been told about this day, it ultimately involves murder, deceit and theft. The commandments speak against all three of these sins.

The Native Americans were lied to, deceived, murdered and had their land stolen. The previous scriptures show that those acts were wrong. How can followers of Christ sit down in good conscience and say this is a day to thank God?

There is another origin of Thanksgiving that should cause “Christians” to cringe. Many Christians falsely believe that the United States was founded on true Biblical values and therefore the holidays that it established were righteous. The truth is the Thanksgiving feast was celebrated by the pilgrims before they arrived in the Americas but it was called Thesmophoria. The celebration was an idolatrous harvest festival created to honor the Greek god Demeter and the Roman goddess Ceres. There were several wicked and sexual practices affiliated with the festival that shows the feast does not honor the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Psalms 96:5For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
1 Corinthians 10:14Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
The scriptures we just read explains how the Lord feels about idolatry. If we are going to be the servants of the Lord, then we must stop this sin and not celebrate the customs of the nations. Leviticus 23:1-2 explains the feasts of the Lord. If Thanksgiving is not mentioned in the Bible and is not of the Lord, what are its origins? Could it be Satan? The following scripture is the answer!
1 Corinthians 10:20-21But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. (21) Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
